Job Description
Job Title: Treasury Officer
Organisation: Pride Bank Limited (PBL)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
The Treasury Officer will report to the Treasury Manager Forex and will be based at Head office. He/ she will be responsible for managing forex positions, mobilizing forex clients (corporate/SMEs and Forex bureaus) and making short-term investment to maximize returns as per Pride’s policies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Maintain and update investment schedule
Carry market research to determine forex market trends
Monitoring cash and bank balances to ensure sound liquidity Management.
Maintaining a portfolio of forex clients (Corporate, SMEs and Forex bureaus)
Ensure compliance to cash management procedures.
Prepare daily exchange position reports and returns to BOU
Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to all stakeholders to ensure compliance.
Forward all deals made in day to Back office.
Liaise with Branches and FX sales staff to ensure maximum business generation through timely and competitive pricing.
Undertake foreign exchange trading for both wholesale and retail clients.
On daily basis check all forex transactions done at both Head office and branches to ensure accurate reports and income recognition.
Carry out any other duties in the Department.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics and any other related field.
At least two years’ experience in a financial institution within the treasury management
Should possess 2 principal passes at A’ level and credits/pass in Mathematics and English at O’level.
He/she should not be more than 40 years of age..
All Internal staff should have at least good performance rating in the recent appraisal cycles.
