Job Description
Position: Training Coordinator
Location: Kampala, Uganda

Context & Environment:
The Tilenga field is a Greenfield project located in a remote area near Lake Albert, Uganda, with sensitive environmental conditions. It involves the production of heavy and waxy oils from 31 drilling pads, some of which are located within a national park, and processing them at a production center with a capacity of 200,000 barrels of oil per day and 650,000 barrels of water treatment per day. The project also includes an extensive interconnecting network and temperature preservation systems. With a multicultural environment and contractors from various parts of the world, Ugandan regulations and international codes for onshore plants will apply.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning
Advise the Operations Training Manager on the development of both long-term and short-term training plans.
Oversee the communication, implementation, and evaluation of approved training plans, ensuring effective performance objectives and indicators for the Training Department.
Plan, prepare, and ensure the implementation of mandatory training programs, particularly Safe Pass and e-learning courses.
Achieve department goals by preparing and completing action plans, implementing professional training, resolving issues, conducting audits, and supporting the implementation of changes.
Maintain academic schedules and events, including Academic Calendars, Assessments, and Development Days.
Manage efficient allocation and planning of training resources.
Interface
Produce and manage the dashboard for the Operations Training Department.
Support the logistics and planning of vendor courses.
Propose solutions when necessary for resource allocation issues.
Quality Management
Plan, develop, and coordinate a quality control program to ensure the continuous delivery of competent trainees and staff in line with company standards and end-user expectations.
Develop quality monitoring tools and analyze statistical data.
Set and maintain quality control objectives, coordinating with relevant staff to maximize quality and minimize costs.
Investigate end-user feedback and recommend corrective actions to maintain conformity with quality specifications and accreditations.
Ensure that OJT (On-the-Job Training) reporting is completed on time.
Organize and promote training activities related to instructional staff assessment and accreditation.
Budgets
Provide input for the preparation of departmental/section budgets and assist in the implementation of approved budgets and work plans to meet departmental objectives.
Investigate and highlight any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards and the company’s Code of Practice.

Candidate Profile:
Qualifications & Experience:
MSc or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field such as Project Management, Administration, or Information Management.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
