Job Description
As a Trading Services Specialist, you will support Alpaca’s enterprise clients by troubleshooting trading-related issues, ensuring smooth operation of order entries, executions, and FIX sessions. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, monitoring account activity, and maintaining compliance with trading regulations. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams such as IT, trading operations, and compliance. Additionally, you will play a role in gathering client feedback to improve services and tools.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Customer Support:
Provide top-tier support via phone, email, and chat
Troubleshoot issues with account management, order processing, and OMS functionality
Resolve FIX session and technical trading issues
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients
Understand and support clients’ operational needs
Conduct regular check-ins and reviews
Trading Services:
Monitor accounts and alert clients to anomalies
Provide timely support and market insights
Track corporate actions (e.g., stock splits, mergers) and ensure accurate resolution
Collaboration and Feedback:
Work closely with trading desks, operations, IT, and compliance teams
Share client feedback with internal product teams
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies
Identify and mitigate potential trading risks

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
2–3 years of experience in brokerage operations or a similar field
Proven experience in customer support, trading services, and relationship management
Knowledge of trading platforms, equities trading, and FIX protocol (options experience is a plus)
JSDA Sales Representative Class 1 qualification required (or must be obtained within 3 months)
Excellent communication skills in English and verbal proficiency in Japanese
Strong ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
High ethical standards and confidentiality
