Job Description

As a Territory Manager, you will lead a market and warehouse as a single business unit. You will be accountable for revenue generation, budgeting, operations, and staff performance while ensuring compliance and market growth. You will collaborate closely with commercial and purchasing teams to develop sales strategies and maximize business margins. Your role also entails inventory and risk management, execution of standard operating procedures, and fostering a high-performance culture within the team.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive Profit & Loss performance of the business unit.

  • Spearhead revenue generation and pricing strategies.

  • Oversee execution of company strategy and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Ensure operational efficiency through coordination with the head office and other functional departments.

  • Manage inventory and prevent losses in collaboration with Warehouse and Loss Control Supervisors.

  • Enforce compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and health and safety regulations.

  • Develop, present, and monitor the unit’s annual budget.

  • Conduct market analysis to provide strategic business insights.

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise business unit staff.

  • Coordinate with HR on performance management, evaluations, and staff discipline.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Business Management or a related field (Bachelor’s degree is an advantage).

  • 4–6 years’ experience in operations/business performance management within a retail or FMCG environment.


Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in end-to-end operations, including warehousing, logistics, and sales.

  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams.

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of market dynamics.

  • Ability to drive operational excellence and stakeholder engagement.

  • Team player with people management experience.
