Job Description
Based in Midrand, Gauteng, the Technician will handle repairs, troubleshooting, and customer service tasks in the field. The role requires prompt and accurate resolution of service calls, prioritization of urgent tasks, regular customer updates, and working within defined service-level agreements. The technician will also engage with cross-functional teams to meet daily and monthly performance targets and must uphold a high standard of professionalism and brand representation.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Carry out repairs and provide technical solutions in a timely manner.
Meet monthly targets for job completion.
Prioritize and respond quickly to urgent customer callouts.
Provide regular updates to customers regarding parts availability and job status.
Address customer feedback and queries efficiently.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and uphold the Defy brand image.
Utilize formal and informal networks to achieve team and company goals.
Communicate regularly with the team and escalate priority calls as needed.
Ensure efficient and effective service delivery while working in the field.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Trade Tested Artisan with a minimum N3 certificate or Level 4 in Domestic Appliance Repair.
Proven experience in appliance troubleshooting and client liaison.
Electrical Wireman’s License and Licensed Gas Appliance Installer certification.
Valid driver’s license.
Familiarity with management principles is advantageous.
Bilingual (English and another language preferred).
Computer literacy is essential.
Strong record of customer satisfaction and job efficiency.
Positive attitude and mobile – able to work in the field.
