Asili Agriculture
Asili Agriculture is a fully-mechanised large scale farming company with an integrated food security platform for East Africa that manages dual-season production of high quality maize and soybeans for supply to regional food processors. Asili became operational in January 2014 and is currently farming on over 7,000 ha of land in Western Uganda under a conservation agriculture and precision farming approach to maximise yields efficiently and sustainably.

Our Farm Hubs operate the largest staple foods farming enterprise in Uganda. We also operate grain storage and trading activities serving over 15,000 farmers and supplying over 40,000 MT of food annually. Our Producer Services Business Unit (PSBU) provides bundled services—agronomy, quality inputs supply, grain marketing and financial services—to smallscale producers (also known as smallholders) as well as customised farming services to large landowners. Our Digital Division develops AMSAF – a resilient food marketplace connecting all stakeholders - and implements digital solutions employed across our Hubs and PSBU. Today, we employ 230+ individuals and employ over 800 temporary employees. The Purpose of the role
The System Administrator is responsible for managing the company's IT infrastructure, troubleshooting, maintaining systems, supporting users, and ensuring smooth technology operations.
Install and Configure Software and Hardware:
Responsible for installing and configuring software applications and hardware components across the organization's IT infrastructure.
Manage iForm Server and Technology Tools:
Oversee the iForm server and related technology tools, ensuring their proper functioning and performance.
Set Up Accounts (iForm) and Workstations:
Create and manage user accounts on the iForm platform and set up workstations for employees as needed.
Monitor Performance and Maintain Systems:
Continuously monitor the performance of IT systems and undertake maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality.
Troubleshoot Issues and Outages:
Respond to and resolve IT-related issues and outages promptly to minimize disruptions to operations.
Implement and manage access controls to safeguard sensitive data and regularly perform backups to prevent data loss.
Upgrade Systems with New Releases:
Stay updated with the latest software releases and upgrades, and implement them across systems as necessary.
Train Staff on New Technologies:
Provide training sessions to staff members on the use of new technologies and software applications to enhance their skills and productivity.
Build Internal Technical Documentation:
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies for internal reference.
Manage Databases:
Oversee the organization's databases, including data storage, retrieval, and security measures.
Perform System Integration:
Integrate different IT systems and applications to ensure seamless communication and functionality across the organization.
Develop and Test New iForm Forms and Functionalities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and test new forms and functionalities on the iForm platform to meet organizational requirements.
Conduct System Usability Surveys:
Administer surveys to gather feedback on system usability and make improvements based on user input.
Support Users and Onboarding Process:
Assist users with IT-related queries and provide support during the onboarding process for new employees.
Automate Reporting:
Develop automated reporting processes to streamline data analysis and reporting tasks.
Manage Password and Identity:
Oversee password management and identity verification processes to maintain system security.
Prepare and Maintain Reports and Dashboards:
Generate and maintain reports and dashboards to track IT performance and provide insights to stakeholders.
Perform Ad Hoc IT Tasks:
Handle miscellaneous IT tasks and projects as assigned by the supervisor to support organizational objectives.

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Second Upper Grade).
2-3 years of relevant work experience in system administration or similar role.
Competencies for this Role
Proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
Attention to detail.
Time management.
Strong communication.
Problem-solving.
Practical knowledge in JavaScript.
Basic knowledge in system integration using programming languages, preferably JavaScript and/or Python.
Working Conditions

Working in close proximity to others
Required to wear personal protective equipment.
Required to work for longer working hours (seasonally)
