OB DETAILS:
Role:
Provide best in class cyber security assurance support in line with business needs by offering specialized technical security knowledge to ensure that both new and existing ICT systems, services,and products comply with security regulations.
Key Result Areas:
• Support in cyber security assessments to determine deviations from acceptable configurations, policy, or standards, and provide expertise in compliance requirements for internal and external reviews of requirements.
• Take part in Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Tests, and provide recommendations for system, network, and application design, implementation, and operation of systems to identify deviations from acceptable configurations or policies.
• Support the collection of data and feedback on policies and procedures, helping to suggest improvements based on identified gaps.
• Help identify and address risks to the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of information systems, assisting in suggesting mitigation strategies.
• Support the monitoring of corrective actions of system audits and provide periodic updates to the Line Manager on the status of implementation of corrective actions.
• Support the development of communications related to policies, procedures, and best practices for vulnerability and risk assessments.

Education and Professional Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• Certifications in Information System Audit, Security Risk and Governance e.g., Security+, Certified in Cyber Security (CC), CEH are required.
Required Experience and Competences:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• Certifications in Information System Audit, Security Risk and Governance e.g., Security+, Certified in Cyber Security (CC), CEH are required.
• Two (2) years’ experience in a role related to information security monitoring and vulnerability management in a large financial institution or a reputable organization.
• Knowledge of cyber security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Required Skills:
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficient in security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, and vulnerability management tools.
