Job Description
Job Title: Superintendent General Foreman
Organisation: Mota-Engil Africa
Duty Station: Buliisa, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Maintaining site foreman’s log & site reports.
Preparation of daily production records.
Reporting on work progress and timely reporting.
Completing project quality reports.
Worker violation reports.
Recommending personnel actions such as hiring, releasing, promotions and discipline.
Quality control-accountable for ensuring that the completed work meets quality standards.
Planning and scheduling-accountable for following project plans and schedules and ensuring supervision of the daily and weekly work activities.
Supervise the testing and commissioning of completed works.
Process, analyse and interpret reports on loading, labour, equipment, productivity, quality, materials and performance.
Analyse risks associated with Safety procedures to be implemented on the works and natural disasters (including fires and floods), and design structures and services to meet appropriate standards.
Comply and ensure compliance with safety procedures implemented by the company.
Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Higher national diploma in civil engineering, construction management or certificate/training in a related field.
15 years of experience in large construction operations.
High knowledge of civil works, earthworks, precast, concrete, and structures.
5 years of experience working in a similar position is a must.
Experience working in the oil and gas industry is an added advantage
Ability to interpret and read advanced draft designs and work plans with in-depth knowledge of construction procedures.
High capability knowledge in operating heavy machinery like excavators offull rotation, industrial sets, and cylinders.
Knowledge of supervisory methods, practices, and procedures
Active listening, critical thinking, monitoring, management of personnel resources, and equipment selection abilities.
