Job Description
Job Title: Stores Officer (Fresher Jobs)

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Net pay: 1,500,000 to 2,000,000
The Stores officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations inventory and warehouse, ensuring efficient stock management, accurate record-keeping, and timely distribution. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining optimal stock levels and security.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage or loss.
Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of goods, verifying shipments against orders, and ensuring timely distribution to meet business and client demands.
Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supply, manage reorder points, and collaborate with procurement to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately documented, and provide regular reports on stock status, discrepancies, and inventory turnover.
Enforce safety and quality standards in storage areas, including temperature control and handling of sensitive healthcare items.
Supervise and train store staff to promote adherence to company procedures and efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
Specific Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office.
Attention to detail, reliability, and integrity.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
Strong understanding of inventory control and warehousing principles.
