Biyinzika was founded in 1990 as a poultry breeder farm and has grown steadily over the years to establish itself as one of the best- known brands in the Ugandan poultry industry.

We are now the leading supplier of day-old chicks and poultry feeds in the country.

We have recently started producing other livestock feeds such as dairy and pig feeds.

A commercial broiler farm was set up in 2016 which is now in full production.

These duties and requirements outline the essential responsibilities and qualifications expected of Stock Controllers, who play a critical role in managing inventory levels and ensuring the efficient operation of supply chains and logistics within an organization.

  • Inventory Management: mana, to ensure adequate supplies are available to meet operational needs while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.

  • Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, inspect goods for quality and accuracy, and process paperwork for inventory updates and reconciliation.

  • Stock Replenishment: Place orders for stock replenishment based on inventory levels, usage trends, and forecasted demand, coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and availability of goods.


  • Stock Rotation: Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) inventory rotation methods to ensure older stock is used or sold before newer stock, minimizing waste and spoilage.

  • Inventory Accuracy: Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and physical inventories to reconcile inventory discrepancies, identify shrinkage or losses, and maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory management system.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and enhance inventory management processes.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issuances, transfers, adjustments, and stock movements, ensuring compliance with accounting and auditing standards.

  • Reporting: Prepare inventory reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to communicate inventory status, trends, and performance metrics to management and stakeholders.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with inventory control policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Some employers may prefer candidates with vocational training, certifications, or associate degrees in inventory management, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • Experience: Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or logistics is often preferred. Experience with inventory management software and barcode scanning systems may also be beneficial.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management software, spreadsheet applications, and other tools for data analysis, reporting, and inventory tracking. Familiarity with barcode scanning systems and RFID technology may be required.


  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, recording, and managing inventory data to ensure inventory records are precise and up-to-date.

  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with suppliers, vendors, colleagues, and other stakeholders, including the ability to convey information clearly and professionally via email, phone, or in person.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve inventory-related issues, such as discrepancies, shortages, overages, or damaged goods, through investigation, analysis, and collaboration with relevant parties.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining professionalism and cooperation with colleagues and other departments.

  • Physical Stamina: The role may involve standing, walking, lifting, and carrying items, so candidates should have the physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks safely and effectively.
