Job Description

The Sr. IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is a senior-level liaison between business units and IT leadership, responsible for ensuring technology initiatives are aligned with strategic goals. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the BRM will build deep partnerships with business stakeholders, develop IT roadmaps, ensure effective communication, and lead key IT-business projects from ideation to execution. The ideal candidate will be an influential leader with a background in business strategy, IT operations, and executive collaboration, ideally within fast-paced or healthcare-related environments.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT and executive business stakeholders

  • Understand and align business unit goals with IT strategies and capabilities

  • Lead development of long-term IT roadmaps that support corporate and departmental objectives

  • Facilitate strategic planning and communication between departments

  • Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements

  • Support project managers by defining KPIs and success metrics

  • Monitor and support the progress of IT projects and ensure timely stakeholder updates

  • Provide oversight and strategic direction for major Business-IT initiatives

  • Represent business unit priorities in IT planning

  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Preferred certifications: CBRM, CBAP, ITIL, ITSM, or PMP

  • 7+ years of experience in IT business relationship management or strategic leadership roles

  • Demonstrated success in aligning IT with business strategy and leading digital transformation

  • Experience working with and influencing executive-level leadership

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Commitment to compliance and respectful team collaboration
