Job Description
The successful candidate will lead the development and design of new products or components, as well as improvements to existing ones, based on current market demands and strategic goals. They will manage platform and cost-reduction projects, conduct laboratory testing, analyze product performance data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The Specialist R&D Design must stay current with industry advancements and regulations and contribute to the innovation process by identifying opportunities from market and competitor analysis.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and implement R&D platform projects from concept to completion.
Design new products or components, and improve existing designs based on market requirements.
Execute cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure product compliance with standards and regulations.
Conduct experiments, test prototypes, and collect performance data.
Collaborate with marketing, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing departments.
Monitor industry trends and technological advancements.
Analyze competitor products and identify innovation opportunities.
Support the commercialization of new product developments.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a production or R&D environment.
Proficient in 2D and 3D drawing and modeling software.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
Experience in product development or project management is advantageous.
Knowledge of sheet metal design, plastic, and electrical components is a plus.
Skills in critical thinking, technical analysis, problem-solving, innovation, and organization.
Strong interpersonal and active learning skills.
Basic knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
