Job Title: Spa and Wellness Manager

Job Type: Full-Time


The Spa and Wellness Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a spa and wellness facility, ensuring exceptional customer service, a relaxing atmosphere, and high-quality wellness services. This role includes managing the spa team, creating wellness programs, and implementing strategies to meet financial and operational goals, as well as fostering a positive guest experience.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Operational Management

    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the spa, including scheduling, service delivery, and cleanliness.

    • Ensure all spa services, including massages, treatments, and wellness activities, are delivered to the highest standards.

    • Monitor inventory and manage procurement of spa supplies, ensuring stock is adequately maintained.

  2. Team Leadership and Development

    • Recruit, train, and supervise spa therapists, aestheticians, receptionists, and wellness instructors.

    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching to enhance team skills and morale.

    • Develop and maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and guest-centric service.

  3. Guest Experience

    • Ensure a welcoming, peaceful, and safe environment that meets guest expectations.

    • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback to enhance customer satisfaction.

    • Promote a personalized service approach and oversee client consultations to align treatments with client wellness goals.

  4. Program and Service Development

    • Create and update spa treatment menus, wellness programs, and packages based on guest preferences and market trends.

    • Coordinate wellness events, workshops, and special offers to attract new clients and retain loyal customers.

    • Stay updated with the latest wellness trends to ensure innovative offerings that promote holistic wellness.

  5. Financial Management

    • Prepare and manage the spa budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.

    • Track and analyze sales, revenue, and expenses to improve profitability.

    • Implement cost-control measures, including effective scheduling, resource utilization, and waste reduction.

  6. Marketing and Promotion

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns, including seasonal offers and membership programs.

    • Create and implement strategies to boost spa visibility and attract new clients, including social media, partnerships, and community events.

    • Monitor and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve services and client engagement.

  7. Health, Safety, and Compliance

    • Ensure all spa facilities and equipment comply with health and safety regulations.

    • Conduct regular inspections of spa areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.

    • Train staff on hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures, including COVID-19 protocols if applicable.

  8. Reporting and Analytics

    • Maintain detailed records of spa services, client feedback, and inventory.

    • Provide regular reports on spa performance, including sales, client satisfaction, and service utilization.

    • Use data and insights to identify trends and make informed decisions for service enhancements and operational improvements.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in spa or wellness management or business administration is an advantage qualification


Experience: 

  • Five years Spa/Gym management experience in an international standard institution or luxury hotel, with a strong focus on customer service.


Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of wellness, spa treatments, and holistic health practices.

  • Proficiency in budget management, sales analysis, and reporting software.

  • Ability to handle customer feedback professionally and diplomatically.


Work Environment:

This position requires a blend of office work and hands-on presence in the spa and wellness areas. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, may be necessary to oversee operations and guest experiences.


Performance Metrics:

  • Guest satisfaction and retention rates.

  • Achievement of financial and operational targets.

  • Staff performance and engagement.

  • Compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
