Job Description
The Solution Specialist plays a key role in ensuring Airtel Business Africa offers tailored, high-quality solutions to clients. This includes:
Providing presales design support for fixed data, mobile, and value-added services.
Supporting sales teams with positioning of project management and service management as value-added services.
Using internal and external tools to develop customer proposals aligned with business needs.
Maintaining an expert-level understanding of Airtel Business Africa products and services.
Contributing to knowledge management repositories, especially bid management documentation.
Managing assignments for complex or non-standard projects.
Securing additional technical or operational resources as needed per project.
Engaging directly with customers when required, supporting both sales and delivery processes.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide pre-sales technical design for Airtel Business Africa’s fixed, mobile, and value-added solutions.
Assist sales in communicating project and service management offerings to clients.
Prepare high-quality technical proposals using a variety of tools and resources.
Stay up-to-date with Airtel’s full range of products and services.
Contribute to organizational knowledge management systems.
Execute project tasks for complex or tailored customer solutions.
Coordinate with internal departments and third-party vendors as necessary.
Serve as the technical liaison for customers during proposal and implementation stages.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field.
Technical certifications such as CCDP, CCIE are an advantage.
PMP certification or equivalent (preferred).
ITIL V3 certification or equivalent (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 2–3 years in a customer-facing role within the telecom or IT sector.
Proven experience in pre-sales or technical solution roles.
Competencies:
Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent customer engagement abilities.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex solution environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
