Job Description
Job Title: Shop Manager (Several Jobs)
Organisation: Biyinzika Poultry International Limited (BPIL)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
The Shop Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the store’s operations, including staffing, inventory management, customer service, and sales performance. This role requires effective leadership and a commitment to achieving store goals while maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Store Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the shop, ensuring that the store is well-organized, clean, and fully stocked.
Sales Management: Drive sales performance by setting sales targets, monitoring results, and implementing strategies to improve performance. Encourage staff to meet and exceed sales goals.
Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise store staff. Develop training plans, provide ongoing feedback, and ensure that the team meets company standards for customer service and performance.
Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving complaints or issues in a professional manner.
Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, stock ordering, and stock rotation. Ensure that the shop is adequately stocked to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
Visual Merchandising: Ensure that the shop’s displays and layout are visually appealing and in line with company guidelines to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
Financial Management: Monitor the store's financial performance, including controlling costs, managing budgets, and tracking sales. Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that the store complies with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and customers.
Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on sales performance, staff performance, and inventory levels. Identify and address any operational issues that may arise.
Promotions and Marketing: Implement in-store promotions and marketing activities to drive sales, attract customers, and enhance brand awareness.
