De Heus Animal Nutrition is the fourth-generation family business that has proudly grown into a major global player with 10.000 employees. Explosive growth has brought the company to where it is today. We have been in the Top 10 of the largest Dutch family-owned businesses for years. In Uganda, De Heus is best known for its brand Koudijs. To extend its business in East Africa, De Heus will start local production of animal feed in Uganda and Kenya. The new plant in Uganda will produce aqua feed to power the rapidly growing aquaculture sector.
You are part of the growing local Sales Team and will be responsible for managing our new aqua feedshop in Jinja.
As this company starts, you will manage the first De Heus Uganda shop. Your job will be to ensure enough stock is available in the shop and store, the revenue is accounted for, and provide an optimal customer experience. You will work with sales representatives if the customers need additional support.
Your shop and work location will be based in Jinja.
You report to the team leader of Aqua Sales.
Organise shop and help customers.
Order stock in time to ensure continuous supply to customers
Ensure proper recordkeeping for stock levels
Ensure proper registration of all incoming payments
Cleaning and shop maintenance
Optimize sales and the sales process
Assist in promotional activities in and around Jinja
Through your experience, you will help us to understand our customers better and give us insights into how to improve our product and service.
It would be best if you had an outgoing personality, were highly motivated, and were good with people. You have a passion for customer service and want to ensure all customers leave your shop smiling. Further, you have a real “can do” mentality and like to take immediate action. You believe actions speak louder than words.

Has a bachelor’s degree in business administration
Has at least three years of experience in a similar role
Is Reliable
Is Accurate
Has experience in basic accounting
