Job Description
Job Title: Tax Business Advisor (Several Fresh Graduate Jobs)

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
We’re looking for Tax Business Advisors with expertise to join our Tax team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading team whilst being instrumental in the growth of our business. The selected candidates will have a great opportunity to work with a pool of highly qualified and experienced professionals, team players and committed people managers, with a passion for implementing new approaches and seeing them through from idea generation, testing, to actualisation whilst being instrumental in the growth of our business.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain business
Prepare and file tax returns for the different tax heads
Support engagement seniors in analyzing tax laws to advise clients on tax issues
Respond to client queries with consultation of the engagement manager
Ensuring confidentiality and exercising discretion when handling client information
Ensuring proper documentation of engagement deliverables as part of the quality management process.
Prepare responses for any queries raise by the tax authority regarding the clients’ tax affairs
Collaborate with team members to increase the efficiency and quality of the firm’s tax advice
Stay abreast with the changes in tax laws and provisions
Preparation of client engagement letters for review by the engagement manager
Preparation of proposals to win business for the firm
Attending professional development trainings and seminars organized by the service line for capacity building
Prepare any other deliverables that may be assigned to them by the engagement manager

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
To qualify for the role, you should have:
First Class or Second Class-Upper bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, any Business-related field or Law.
A Post Graduate Diploma in Tax will be an added advantage.
Full or part professional qualification (CPA, ACCA or other recognised qualification) is an added advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Proficient computer skills and analytics.
High level of integrity.
Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Advanced Computer skills and analytics.
At least 1/2 years of experience in a similar or related role.
