Job Description
Job Title: Control Room Operator Trainee (Several Fresher Jobs)
Organisation: CNOOC Uganda Limited
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Learn and assist with executing oilfield production operations and support the production maintenance team.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Participate in executing new oil field production commissioning and start-up.
Assist in collecting and follow up on production-related issues left out by the engineering team.
Learn to manage emergency response as per the emergency response plan.
Get familiar with the production process, central control system, ESD, Fire & Gas system, equipment parameters and operation procedure, chemical MSDS and characters, system initial and normal start-up procedure, and emergency shutdown procedure.
Learn how to carry out routine operations and deal with production abnormalities to avoid production shutdown, equipment damage, or any petroleum-related leaking.
Participate in operating oil/water/gas and chemical processes, maintain process stability, and treat oil and water to meet specifications.
Learn to execute production-related equipment routine checks and records and promptly report abnormalities to senior operators.
Assist in carrying out production-related equipment preventive maintenance.
Ensure worksite cleanliness and safety is maintained.
Assist in coordinating and supervising production-related contractor onsite work.
Participate in all training programs organized by the Company.
Perform other duties assigned by superiors.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related fields.
0-2 years’ work experience with an Oil & Gas industry background is preferred.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of oil and gas processes, development, and production.
