Job Description
This job function is a resource responsible for a 24/7/365 handling of the operations responsibility of running all Mobile Data Platforms (2G/3G/4G) Evolved Packet Core network. The resource is accountable for ensuring the delivery of all operations for 2G/3G/LTE Evolved Packet Core Network, Interconnect management and their integrations to the Radio Access Networks, Charging Platforms and aid Solution designs like Private APNs, QoS etc. on these platforms.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product development marketing team, VAS and Core Solution team to ensure end-to-end operations management, and prioritization of the Business.
Collaborate with RAN and Transmission team to ensure end-to-end operations management, and prioritization of the Business.
Collaborate with Core Delivery team to ensure that project plans are built up in a realistic manner that considers all internal and external dependencies to the Core Network,
Collaborate with the vendor teams to ensure the team perform as per project, to ensure overall network improvements.
Collaborate with Core Operations to ensure design process outputs are translated into accurate node configuration and Method of Procedure integration documentation.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum education necessary:
BSc Electrical or Telecoms, Data Communications or Computer Science Degree.
ICT Networks industry certifications & Packet core networks training. Network Security management skills an advantage
Minimum experience necessary to perform this job:
8+ years telecoms experience with at least 4 years in planning and design. Previous Core Design experience including performance and capacity management.
Proven track record in striving for continuous improvement and driving efficiencies, whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Excellent leadership and influencing skills to drive Core Design Team deliverables and collaboration with other Networks and IT departments
Design and deployment experience of key network systems/nodes (for example MME & SAE-GW, UGW) through the full delivery lifecycle from initial design to full operational handover.
Excellent working knowledge of EPC/IMS/LTE architecture, interfaces and procedures, with understanding of key LTE associated technologies and functionality including IMS, GSM, UMTS, SRVCC and CSFB.
Good working knowledge of 3GPP, IETF and GSMA standards and architectures.
Knowledge of IP based protocols for mobile network technology that includes, TCP/IP, SIP, SIGTRAN, MAP, GTP, RANAP, INAP, BICC, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, DNS and IPv6 basics, preferably with experience with the prime IP vendor equipment: Cisco/Juniper network certification also nice to have.
Good understanding of Operational and Business support systems.
Good practical skills in troubleshooting and fault resolution on an end-to-end basis
Project lifecycle understanding.
Good time management and ability to work to deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to engage different areas of the business at varying levels of technical capability.
Understanding and adherence to processes.
