Job Description
The Senior Security Officer will oversee and manage security operations for the company, ensuring the safety of employees, assets, and facilities. This role includes operating security systems such as CCTV, alarm systems, and access control, as well as responding to security incidents, including emergencies and potential threats like terrorism and illegal activities. The officer will monitor security footage, regulate traffic flow, and assist stakeholders with inquiries. Additionally, the officer will manage a team of security personnel, coordinate with law enforcement agencies, preserve evidence, and assist in the creation and implementation of company-wide security policies. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining security and responding to theft, robberies, and other security breaches within the company network.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Safeguard UNMC premises, assets, and personnel from potential threats, including terrorism, illegal activities, and emergencies.
Manage and operate UNMC security systems such as CCTV, alarm systems, and access control.
Respond to complex security incidents and emergencies.
Monitor security footage and perform surveillance duties from command centers.
Regulate traffic flow and ensure safe movement within company premises.
Address inquiries from stakeholders and provide assistance as needed.
Oversee and manage the security personnel team.
Liaise between UNMC and law enforcement agencies or other security stakeholders.
Preserve evidence related to security incidents.
Contribute to the development and implementation of company security policies.
Coordinate with security agencies to respond to theft, robberies, or any breach of peace across the company network.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
An Honors Bachelor’s degree in any field.
At least six (6) years of experience in security or a related risk management field.
Relevant security training in Strategic Military, Police, or Prisons training, and Command training with relevant professional or state bodies is desirable.
Proficiency in computer skills.
Strong analytical and investigation skills.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
Basic financial and numerical skills.
Ability to build networking relationships with internal and external security stakeholders, especially with security organs.
Physical fitness and the ability to handle security-related tasks effectively.
A team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and exercise excellent judgment in security matters.
