Job Title: Senior Sales Engineer

The Senior Sales Representative plays a key role in achieving the organization’s objectives by driving customer growth through our client’s solutions. This role requires a strong ability to identify opportunities for new machine sales and Lifecycle Service (LCS) or after-sales support, aligning customer needs with the right solutions. Regular site and customer visits, close collaboration with internal departments, and effective communication with both customers and team members are essential for securing orders and ensuring success in this position.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Tasks and Responsibilities
Establish and maintain strong relationships with all customers, providing effective solutions tailored to their needs using the company’s portfolio.
Promote the sale of New Machine and Lifecycle Service (LCS) solutions, including spare parts, change parts/retrofits, overhauls, Service Level Agreements, operating supplies, and training solutions.
Build and nurture strong customer relationships with key and potential market players.
Capture opportunities for New Machine and LCS solutions in the Salesforce CRM, coordinate quote preparation, present proposals to customers, and negotiate contracts on behalf of the company.
Collaborate closely with New Machine and LCS Sales and technical teams in Nairobi, the Middle East, Africa, and the company’s headquarters to gather necessary information and support.
Keep customers updated on the status of their orders, ensuring deadlines are met.
Develop a robust network with key stakeholders within the company’s headquarters.
Lead communication between the company and operational departments in East Africa, facilitating resource scheduling and addressing issues related to warranties, replacements, and additional parts.
Manage logistics, administration, and financial transactions for clients.
Ensure all orders are fulfilled according to customer agreements.
Participate in special projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as required.
Take responsibility for receivable collections from customers.
Regularly visit customer locations, present solutions, and attend relevant project meetings.
Expand the market for New Machine and LCS solutions by identifying and engaging with new customers.
Provide mentorship to sales representatives.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Requirements
University degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Process Engineering or Business Administration with a solid technical understanding.
At least 5 years as a Sales Engineer or in a Technical Sales role or similar field/position.
Customer relationship and stakeholder management.
Sales effectiveness and understanding.
Basic understanding of bottling plants and our range of solutions.
General project management abilities.
Good business administration and financial understanding.
Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
Negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with good English writing and speaking skills.
Organization Skills.
Problem Solving.
