The Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSC)

The Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSC) was incorporated in 2001 as a company limited by guarantee, as part of GOU's effort to promote access to affordable financial services for increased employment and wealth. The company offers affordable finance through its network of 13 regional offices spread throughout the country as well as through its networks of over 160 Agency SACCOs. It gives priority financing to enterprises in the agricultural value chain namely: production, value addition and marketing. Besides credit, MSC provides capacity building to its clients including SACCOS, Groups and Cooperative Unions to enable them enhance their sustainably.
Following the process of corporate renewal that the Company is undertaking, MSC seeks to recruit suitably qualified and highly skilled persons with integrity, energy and a strong passion to create wealth and have a real impact on the lives of active poor Ugandans. MSC, therefore, wishes to fill the following vacant position(s) in its establishment.

Strategic Planning

  • Developing PR strategies: Creating comprehensive public relations strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Campaign planning: Designing and executing PR campaigns to promote the organization’s initiatives, products, or services.


Media Relations

  • Media engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets.

  • Press releases: Writing and distributing press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.

  • Media monitoring: Monitoring media coverage and public perception of the organization, and preparing media reports.


Crisis Management

  • Crisis communication: Developing and implementing crisis communication plans to address potential PR crises.

  • Managing incidents: Acting as the primary spokesperson during crises and ensuring accurate and timely communication.


Content Creation and Management

  • Content development: Creating high-quality content for various channels, including press releases, blog posts, speeches, and social media.

  • Editorial oversight: Reviewing and approving PR materials to ensure consistency and alignment with the organization's message.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Building relationships: Engaging with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, government officials, and community leaders.

  • Public speaking: Representing the organization at public events, conferences, and other forums.


Event Management

  • Planning events: Organizing and managing press conferences, media briefings, and other PR-related events.

  • Event promotion: Promoting events through various channels to ensure maximum visibility and attendance.


Social Media Management

  • Social media strategy: Developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance the organization’s online presence.

  • Content management: Overseeing the creation and posting of content on social media platforms.


Brand Management

  • Brand positioning: Ensuring the organization’s brand is consistently communicated across all channels.

  • Reputation management: Monitoring and managing the organization’s reputation and taking corrective actions when necessary.


Internal Communication

  • Employee communication: Developing internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged.

  • Newsletters and updates: Creating internal newsletters and updates to share important news and information with staff.
