National Social Security Fund
Job Purpose:
To be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing systems and applications needed to keep the business running.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Manage the development and deployment of new applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise.
Oversee projects assigned to the applications development and applications support teams
Coordinate and review the complete development lifecycle of the fund’s software systems
Review and recommend change control processes for the development team to follow.
Coordinate with the IT Projects team to ensure that development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues
Oversee the collaboration of analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.
Provide technical leadership to analysts and programmers working on development project teams.
Oversee the review and analyses of existing applications’ effectiveness and efficiency and develops strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
Oversee the design, development and installation of enhancements and upgrades to systems and application software.
Enforce functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices.
Prepare and monitor of budgets when necessary.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the achievement of the departments objectives.

A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology related field.
A Masters degree in Computer Science, software engineering or Information Technology related field.
A professional qualification in, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Security (CCNP Security, Symantec DLP, SIEM), CEH, OSCP, Wireless technologies, F5 LTM and APM, Imperva WAF/DAM, Fortinet NSE4-8, ISO 27001, ITILv3, CISSP, NSX, Azure Fundamentals/MCSA etc.
Work Experience:
8 years overall IT experience especially in an application support and development capacity and 4 years in a managerial role.
