Job Description
The position is a full-time, remote consultancy role with a focus on overseeing a high-impact IT data migration project. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering a migration from on-premise systems to Google Cloud's Advanced Data Lake. They will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder communications, ensure governance alignment, and support executive decision-making through metric reporting. The role requires adherence to project management best practices and budget guidelines, with a direct influence on strategic planning and data modernization across the organization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-level data migration projects from on-premise systems to Google’s Advanced Data Lake
Manage full project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting (up to $5M), and delivery
Serve as liaison between stakeholders, governance bodies, and cross-functional teams
Run and analyze pre-configured metric reports to support divisional and executive insights
Apply PMI methodologies and act as the SME in project management best practices
Facilitate problem-solving among senior technical teams
Support long-term strategic IT planning
Ensure compliance with institutional budget and governance standards

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years’ experience, orMaster’s Degree with 7+ years, orAssociate’s Degree with 12+ years
PMP Certification (required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire)
Proven experience in managing complex, enterprise-scale IT projects
In-depth understanding of PMI Process Groups and project governance
Strong leadership and communication skills in a matrixed organizational environment
Experience with vendor/contractor collaboration
Bonus: Experience with Google Cloud (especially Advanced Data Lake), healthcare IT, or enterprise analytics modernization
