The Senior Human Resource Officer is integral to driving effective human resource management across PEAS Uganda’s network of schools. This role will focus on strategic HR planning, resource allocation, and providing expert HR support to school leaders and staff. You’ll work closely with school leadership to ensure that HR policies, processes, and practices align with PEAS’ values and strategic goals, fostering operational excellence.

Job Description
Job Title: Senior Human Resource Officer
Location: PEAS Uganda School Network
Purpose:
This position will collaborate with the School Network team to deliver professional HR expertise to school leaders and staff. The Senior HR Officer will lead improvements in HR processes and practices, ensuring that schools operate smoothly and effectively, in line with PEAS Uganda’s mission and vision.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
HR Planning & Resourcing:
Develop HR strategies that meet the needs of the school network and align with organizational goals.
Support workforce planning, including recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for schools.
HR Support & Guidance:
Advise school leaders and staff on HR matters, including labor laws, policies, and best practices.
Serve as the main point of contact for resolving HR-related issues and supporting decision-making.
Policy Implementation & Compliance:
Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the network.
Promote compliance with local labor laws and organizational standards.
Staff Development & Well-being:
Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance performance and capacity.
Foster a positive, engaging work environment focused on staff well-being and job satisfaction.
HR Operational Excellence:
Identify and implement improvements to HR processes, increasing efficiency across the network.
Monitor HR activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
