Job Description
Reporting to the Manager Electrical Engineering, the Senior Engineer (Electrical) will be responsible for overseeing complex electrical engineering projects including the design of power distribution systems, lighting, fire alarms, security systems, and renewable energy solutions. The role requires strong project management, leadership, and technical oversight, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations and regulatory standards. The incumbent will review and approve work by junior engineers, participate in client engagements, promote sustainable design practices, and ensure effective communication between all stakeholders.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Produce detailed electrical designs compliant with applicable standards and regulations
Lead project execution to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery
Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineers to develop tailored solutions
Review and approve technical designs, calculations, and specifications prepared by junior engineers
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to foster professional growth
Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable practices into design work
Participate in project meetings and conduct site visits to ensure alignment with design intent

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience:
At least six (6) years of professional experience in a busy and reputable public or private organization
Proven track record in delivering electrical design projects
Strong portfolio demonstrating successful electrical engineering projects
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation tools (e.g., Electrical-OM, Amtech, Dialux)
Knowledge of international and local electrical standards (e.g., BS 7671, Building Regulations)
Other Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and organizational abilities
Ability to manage client relationships and work within multidisciplinary teams
High level of diligence, attention to detail, and willingness to continuously learn
