Job Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Claims Analyst to process insurance claims professionally and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the company’s broader strategic goals.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage claim correspondence and keep clients updated on progress.
Raise payment requisitions and track cheque issuance.
Ensure complete documentation and timely processing of claims.
Review weekly AIMS claims reports, verify claim handling and reserves.
Monitor claims turnaround time and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and QOP standards.
Distribute and supervise work within the section; evaluate performance against service standards.
Track service provider performance and adherence to contract terms; maintain assignment database.
Process service provider fee notes and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
Host quarterly performance review meetings with service providers.
Approve claim settlements within authority limits, ensuring accuracy and preventing leakage.
Keep clients informed to reduce complaints; maintain acceptable backlog levels.
Manage counteroffers and follow up on settlement acceptances.
Supervise claims analysts’ output; balance workloads to maintain efficiency.
Identify and address training needs; enhance staff skills through continuous learning.
Refer third-party recovery claims appropriately and maintain tracking systems.
Handle reinsurance processes: notify reinsurers, update progress, and pursue recoveries.
Control claims settlement costs; maintain database of payments and analyze fees.
Detect and report fraud; ensure action is taken.
Prepare statutory and management reports; liaise with auditors and stakeholders.
Draft and submit ex-gratia requests.
Resolve customer complaints promptly and maintain records.
Manage and review claim reserves regularly.
Collaborate with underwriting to support risk assessment and policy accuracy.
Participate in recruitment and retention of qualified staff for the claims team.
Provide leadership, task planning, and performance monitoring within the unit.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Claims Manager.
Compliance & Risk
Ensure full adherence to Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Sanctions policies.
Execute and monitor KYC, CDD, and EDD processes.
Report unusual activities or potential breaches to the Risk and Compliance Office.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Required)
Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Insurance (Required)
