Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
As a Senior Associate at Instiglio, you will take on a variety of responsibilities, including:
Acting as a project manager for 1-3 workstreams (reporting to a Manager) or for stand-alone projects (reporting to a Lead).
Leading the development of technical components for Results-Based Financing (RBF) instruments and performance management systems.
Creating proposals and client deliverables, articulating complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
Managing project budgets and contracts, anticipating challenges, and proactively addressing them.
Planning, delegating, and overseeing tasks to ensure efficient and effective results within your team.
Structuring and guiding data analyses to extract actionable insights.
Preparing and delivering clear and impactful presentations to both public and private sector stakeholders.
Coordinating and motivating project teams while providing mentorship to support individual and team growth.
Continuously improving our RBF and Performance Management services and delivery approaches.
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Instiglio office in Uganda and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Engaging with stakeholders and counterparts in Uganda, representing Instiglio in various capacities.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Who You Are:
Experience:
A minimum of 6 years of experience, including 4 years in international development, management/strategy consulting, or the public sector.
Experience in Results-Based Financing and/or Performance Management is an advantage, but not required.
Experience working with government agencies, especially in Uganda, is highly desirable.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with Results-Based Financing mechanisms and relevant field experience.
Education:
A Master’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, Public Administration, Business, or related fields.
Language Skills:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
Skills:
Proven track record in managing complex client projects and engaging with diverse stakeholders, including government counterparts.
Experience in team growth and management in an entrepreneurial setting.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and structured thinking abilities.
Ability to develop analytical frameworks and apply common analytical principles effectively.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust, relate well with others, and solve problems effectively.
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and eloquently.
