Job Title: Sales Engineer (Equipment Division)-Selling Construction Equipment

Organization details
A leading provider of power solutions in Uganda is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Person to join our team, responsible for promoting and selling construction equipment to customers in various industries. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of the equipment market, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction equipment market
Meet and exceed sales targets, while maintaining a strong understanding of customer needs and preferences.
Negotiate sales contracts and agreements
Manage and maintain key accounts and business partners, ensuring excellent customer service and building long-term relationships.
Order equipment and manage inventory, whilst ensuring accurate and timely delivery to customers.
In collaboration with the Credit controller the incumbent shall assist in Collecting payments and to manage debtors where the need arises.
Train clients on proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
Register all sold equipment into our CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
Coordinate service and repairs, and provide after-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
Ensure warranty procedures are followed and implemented, minimizing potential disputes and issues.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Degree from a recognized university in Mechanical, Electrical, automotive engineering, Agricultural or related field.
Details of experience
2 -3 years of sales experience in a related industry (construction or industrial equipment)
Knowledge, skills and competences
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of the equipment market and industry trends
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and revenue goals
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong negotiation and closing skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet to deadlines.
Flexible and adaptable to changes in work requirements or schedules.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
