Job Description
Our dynamic Ugandan subsidiary is looking for a dedicated Revenue Accountant, who will report directly to the Chief Accountant.
The Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting and billing for subscribers, while also managing data for both subscribers and distributors.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Supervise the daily transfer of data from the subscriber management software (ZOURA) to the accounting software (Workday).
Ensure proper assignment of promotions and gratuities to the relevant subscribers.
Oversee subscriber billing activities and monitor their accuracy.
Supervise all Treasury operations related to subscribers and distributors.
Track and investigate outstanding balances and suspicious accounts.
Analyze discrepancies between theoretical and actual billing for each subscriber.
Manage relationships with distributors and business customers.
Record and reconcile subscriber and distributor revenues in the accounting system.
Generate and validate distributor commissions.
Oversee collections and manage payment schedules for business customers and distributors.
Additional Responsibilities
Monitor cash registers in boutiques and ensure proper fund returns.
Assess account risks through reports and review available information.
Update and maintain analysis and monitoring tools.
Validate subscriber turnover for accuracy.
Manage the approval contract process with Canal+ partners.
Track, analyze, and explain the details of all business customer accounts.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Minimum of higher education (Bac +2/3) in accounting or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
Skills:
Strong understanding of general accounting principles and techniques.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Familiarity with ERP systems (Workday or SAP) is a significant advantage.
