Job Description
The position involves daily reconciliation of Head Office and branch suspense accounts, including merchant and card-related accounts such as Visa, MasterCard, and UPI ATM Clearing GLs. The analyst will identify, document, and resolve reconciliation items in a timely manner, escalate long-outstanding issues, compile daily reconciliation reports, and support automation of account reconciliation processes. The role also entails advising branch staff and internal stakeholders on reconciliation matters, sharing best practices, and maintaining a proper audit trail for accountability and compliance.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Safeguard all reconciliation documents to ensure proper audit trails
Perform daily reconciliation of HQ and branch suspense accounts
Identify, investigate, document, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner
Ensure proper aging of all reconciliation items
Escalate unresolved and long-standing reconciliation issues
Reconcile GEPG merchant suspense accounts and provide daily reports
Reconcile Visa, MasterCard, and UPI ATM clearing accounts and report findings
Compile and summarize daily reconciliation reports for managerial review
Participate in automation projects for card and suspense account reconciliation
Provide support and advice to branches and colleagues on reconciliation matters
Share knowledge and promote best practices within the team
Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager, Card Reconciliation

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 1 year of experience in reconciliation or card settlement, preferably in the banking sector
Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting
Familiarity with banking operations and their interaction with financial management
Innovative, adaptable, and detail-oriented
