These duties and requirements outline the essential responsibilities and qualifications expected of a Re-advertised Registrar position with the Pharmacy Board, which plays a critical role in safeguarding public health and ensuring the integrity of pharmacy practice.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards by pharmacists and pharmacies within the jurisdiction.
Licensing and Registration: Process applications for pharmacist licensure and pharmacy registration, including reviewing credentials, conducting background checks, and issuing licenses and permits.
Renewals and Maintenance: Manage the renewal process for pharmacist licenses and pharmacy registrations, ensuring timely submission of renewal applications and updating records as needed.
Investigations and Complaints: Investigate complaints and allegations of misconduct or violations of pharmacy regulations, conducting interviews, gathering evidence, and recommending appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary.
Enforcement Actions: Initiate enforcement actions against pharmacists or pharmacies found to be in violation of pharmacy laws or regulations, including issuing warnings, fines, suspensions, or revocations of licenses or registrations.
Education and Outreach: Provide education and guidance to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other stakeholders on regulatory requirements, best practices, and changes in pharmacy laws and regulations.
Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases of licensed pharmacists, registered pharmacies, and regulatory actions taken by the board.
Policy Development: Participate in the development and review of pharmacy laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure they are current, relevant, and effective in protecting public health and safety.

Education: A bachelor's degree in pharmacy or a related field is typically required. Some positions may require a master's degree or higher in pharmacy administration, public health, or healthcare administration.
Licensure: Must be a licensed pharmacist in good standing with the relevant pharmacy regulatory authority. Additional certifications or licenses related to pharmacy regulation and administration may be preferred or required.
Experience: Previous experience working in pharmacy regulation, administration, or compliance is highly desirable. Experience in investigative work, law enforcement, or legal proceedings may also be beneficial.
Knowledge of Pharmacy Laws and Regulations: Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards governing the practice of pharmacy and the operation of pharmacies.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex regulatory issues, evaluate evidence, and make informed decisions regarding licensure, registration, and disciplinary actions.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy owners, legal counsel, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing applications, documentation, and investigative reports, as well as maintaining records and databases.
Ethical Conduct: High ethical standards and integrity in upholding the principles of pharmacy regulation, ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability in all regulatory activities.
Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in using database management systems, electronic document management tools, and other software applications commonly used in regulatory agencies.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining professionalism and diplomacy in interactions with diverse individuals and groups.

• Candidates who will present forged certificates and other documents shall be handed over to the Police for appropriate action.
• Health Workers who are on long-term training (one year and above) must not apply.
