Job Description
The Quality Control Coordinator will play a critical role in guaranteeing the successful implementation of quality assurance and control standards on construction sites. The position requires managing inspection activities, coordinating with contractors, verifying tests and inspections, and ensuring documentation is accurate and complete. The role involves liaising with vendors, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with international standards and project specifications. The Coordinator will also provide technical advice, monitor contractor performance, and report on key quality issues to project management.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the Project Quality Plan and technical integrity throughout execution.
Collaborate with teams to select quality tests and interpret results according to standards.
Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) from contractors.
Implement and monitor the Project Quality Control System.
Collect and report quality inspection and test result data.
Continuously assess contractor quality performance.
Coordinate inspections and manage quality control personnel.
Verify welding, concrete, and painting inspections.
Participate in site construction meetings to ensure alignment on quality goals.
Review contractor/vendor quality plans and procedures.
Conduct vendor and contractor technical audits.
Report critical quality control issues and advise management.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality assurance/control in construction within the Oil & Gas sector.
Certified quality systems professional (preferred).
Accreditation in relevant QA/QC standards (e.g., CSWIP, ASME, AWS D1.1, NACE, ISO 9001).
Expertise in Civil Quality Control, Welding, Structural Elements, and Piping.
Strong experience in HSE Risk and Job Safety Analysis.
Knowledge of system development, auditing, certification, and integration.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
