Job Description
Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Officer
Organisation: Chrif Enterprises
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
The Quality Assurance (QA) Officer is responsible for ensuring all fiber installation and civil works meet the highest quality standards. This role involves conducting on-site inspections, reporting quality metrics, and collaborating with field teams to resolve any quality issues. The QA Officer plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with industry standards and driving continuous improvement in installation processes.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct detailed quality checks and inspections throughout the fiber installation and civil works to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Perform tests on installed systems and materials to ensure they meet performance, durability, and safety standards.
Work closely with Field Operations Manager and Civil Works Supervisor to address quality concerns, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
Provide comprehensive reports on quality metrics, documenting findings, trends, and any non-compliance issues.
Implement and track corrective actions for any deviations from quality standards, ensuring continuous improvement.
Train field teams on quality standards, inspection procedures, and safety protocols to enhance the overall quality culture.
Conduct internal audits to ensure quality control measures are consistently applied and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Evaluate and assess the quality of materials and equipment supplied by external vendors to ensure they meet required standards.
Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, audits, corrective actions, and training sessions for internal and external reporting purposes.
Recommend improvements to processes and procedures that will lead to better quality assurance in future projects.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Degree or certification in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in quality control for construction or infrastructure projects.
In-depth knowledge of quality inspection techniques, standards, and procedures.
Strong ability to identify issues and propose effective corrective actions to maintain quality.
Attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve quality-related challenges effectively.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with ISO certifications (e.g., ISO 9001) or industry-specific standards.
Proficiency in quality management systems or software tools.
Advanced problem-solving skills to identify root causes of quality issues and propose practical
