Job Description
The Projects Intern will assist the field teams in a variety of activities supporting large-scale pipeline construction, including tracking daily progress, preparing site reports, documenting engineering issues, and observing safety and quality control practices. The intern will gain practical experience in engineering and construction management, working closely with contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders. Through this role, the intern will develop technical, organizational, and teamwork skills in a live project setting within the oil and gas industry.
The role involves site visits, coordination, and documentation, offering insights into real-time infrastructure development while working in alignment with project timelines and safety protocols.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor construction activities and ensure alignment with the project schedule and quality standards.
Participate in safety briefings and observe safety practices on-site.
Assist with site inspections and maintain documentation of progress.
Track and organize construction documents, including drawings, permits, and technical specs.
Support communication and coordination between engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Record and report issues or observations made during fieldwork and follow up on resolutions.
Use project management tools and attend meetings to take minutes and track action items.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Demonstrated interest in infrastructure, construction, or engineering project management.
Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety principles.
Good communication, organization, and coordination skills.
Adaptability to work in field environments and dynamic construction settings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project scheduling tools is an added advantage.
Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to collaborate within a team.
