Project Planning and Coordination:
Develop and implement disaster preparedness and anticipatory action plans.
Coordinate project activities with internal teams, external stakeholders, local authorities, and partners.
Ensure that all project tasks are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Risk Assessment and Analysis:
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities in the target area.
Use predictive tools and data analysis to determine the likelihood and potential impact of disasters.
Develop anticipatory actions based on forecasted risks to mitigate the effects of impending disasters.
Capacity Building and Training:
Organize and deliver training workshops on disaster preparedness for staff, community members, and stakeholders.
Build local capacity by training emergency response teams on preparedness protocols and anticipatory actions.
Develop training materials and modules specific to the identified risks.

Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, Emergency Management, Environmental Science, International Development, or a related field.
A Master’s degree in a relevant field is often preferred but may not be required.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in project management, especially in disaster preparedness, emergency response, or humanitarian work.
Proven experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder projects in emergency or disaster contexts.
Experience in working with diverse teams and managing resources under tight deadlines.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of disaster risk reduction (DRR) principles and anticipatory action frameworks.
Familiarity with early warning systems, risk analysis tools, and predictive modeling.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite.
