Job Description
Job Title: Procurement Officer (Fresher Jobs)
Organisation: Quality Plastics (U) Limited (QPL)
Duty Station: Mukono, Uganda
Quality Plastics (U) Ltd is hiring a self-driven and self-motivated Procurement Officer who is able to work as part of a team, able to multitask, with good Analytical, Negotiation and Communication Skills with proper time management. This role will involve effective handling of all aspects of procurement especially in regards to Local Purchase and Documentation.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Communicating food safety requirements to various Suppliers in the food chain
Process requisitions and purchase orders with clear specifications for the supplies in order to ensure the process delivers its intended output.
Track the status and follow up on the orders
Ensure that the procurement documentation is up to date and filed and maintained as per the system requirements.
Maintain files with confidentiality in an accessible format.
Review the contracts of local external providers for conformance to company policy
Carry out Supplier selections and performance evaluations on a set regular basis.
Assist in reporting on the performance of the systems and on the opportunities for improvement.
Monitoring and ensuring that the GPRS for the delivery trucks is functioning as required by management
Accountable for the smooth operation of office work and related systems
within the office by organizing and coordinating workflows
Ensure promotion of customer focus throughout the organization.
Assists in supporting the negotiation of service arrangements with Local suppliers.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement& Logistics or related field
Working Experience of at least 2 years in related field
Excellent computer skills especially in Excel word, Microsoft and power point.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with a result-driven approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent record keeping skills
