Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the Procurement Manager will lead the procurement department and be responsible for vendor selection, risk management, compliance, contract negotiation, and supporting hotel departments in procurement planning and implementation. The role requires a dynamic individual with experience in hotel procurement, strong negotiation skills, and knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and manage the procurement team, offering support and training.
Collaborate with hotel departments to facilitate procurement processes.
Evaluate suppliers’ financial stability and manage supply chain risks.
Ensure procurement activities adhere to internal policies, laws, and ethical standards.
Oversee quality control for all goods and services procured.
Review pricing proposals and cost estimates, ensuring operations remain within budget.
Draft, review, and negotiate vendor contracts in the hotel's best interest.
Analyze hotel needs and develop procurement strategies aligned with goals.
Identify suitable suppliers based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Oversee tender processes, including bid receipt, evaluation, award, and publication of results.
Draft contracts for tender winners with input from relevant departments.
Act as Secretary to the Procurement Tender Committee.
Manage the contract cycle with concerned departments in line with applicable laws.
Provide information to competent authorities as required.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Law, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
Relevant procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS – Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply).
2–5 years of experience as a Procurement Manager, preferably in the hotel industry.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Sound knowledge of procurement laws and compliance standards.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
