Job Description

The Procurement and Contracts Intern will work closely with the Contracts and Procurement (C&P) department to support a wide range of functions within the procurement and contractual framework of the EACOP project. The intern will help review contracts, assist in issuing RFPs, evaluate vendor performance, and support compliance and reporting tasks. This internship is ideal for individuals looking to gain practical knowledge in managing large-scale procurement activities within an engineering or infrastructure context.


Reporting to the Contracts and Procurement Engineer, the intern will collaborate with project teams, construction contractors, and external vendors to ensure streamlined operations and adherence to policy and compliance requirements.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in contract review and analysis to ensure compliance with project terms.

  • Prepare contract documentation and maintain organized records.

  • Participate in the procurement process including vendor identification, bid evaluation, and proposal issuance.

  • Aid in maintaining supplier relationships and performance tracking.

  • Support negotiations with vendors under senior supervision.

  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and prepare regular reports.

  • Ensure procurement activities align with company policies and risk management protocols.

  • Liaise with the legal team to address any contractual challenges.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Engineering, Business, Procurement, or a related field.

  • Must provide a university introduction letter and student ID.

  • Must submit a partial transcript/testimonial showing academic scores with a minimum of an upper-second class degree.

  • Full-time availability throughout the internship period.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.

  • Team player with problem-solving abilities.

  • Must submit a formal internship application letter.
