The Secretary Education Service Commission would like to inform the general public that the Commission has advertised various posts that exist in the Training Institutions of Vocational, Technical Colleges and UPIK under TVET and University Education and Training Departments in the Ministry of Education and Sports.

Leadership and Administration:

  • School Management: Overseeing daily operations of the school, including facilities management, scheduling, and logistics.

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing long-term goals and plans for school improvement.

  • Decision Making: Making key decisions on academic and administrative matters.


Educational Leadership:

  • Curriculum Development: Working with teachers to develop and implement curricula that meet state and national standards.

  • Instructional Leadership: Providing guidance and support to teachers on instructional practices and professional development.

  • Student Performance: Monitoring and analyzing student performance data to improve teaching methods and student outcomes.


Staff Supervision and Development:

  • Hiring and Training: Recruiting, hiring, and training staff, including teachers and support personnel.

  • Evaluation: Conducting performance evaluations for teachers and staff, providing feedback and professional development opportunities.

  • Mentorship: Serving as a mentor to staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Student Affairs:

  • Discipline: Establishing and enforcing school policies on student behavior and discipline.

  • Support Services: Overseeing student support services, such as counseling and special education programs.

  • Safety: Ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for all students.


Community Relations:

  • Parental Engagement: Engaging with parents and guardians through regular communication, meetings, and involvement in school activities.

  • Community Partnerships: Building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and local government.

  • Public Relations: Representing the school at public events and in the media.


Budget and Resource Management:

  • Financial Oversight: Managing the school’s budget, including allocating resources and ensuring fiscal responsibility.

  • Fundraising: Leading efforts to secure additional funding through grants, donations, and fundraising activities.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Typically required, often in education or a related field.

  • Master’s Degree: A Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field is usually required.


Licensing and Certification:

  • State Certification: Most states require principals to hold an administrative or principal certification/license, which often involves passing a specific exam.

  • Teaching Experience: Several years of teaching experience is usually required before becoming a principal.


Professional Skills:

  • Leadership: Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with students, staff, and the community.

Experience:

  • Administrative Experience: Experience in educational administration or in a leadership role within a school is often required.

  • Professional Development: Ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends and policies.

2. Applications will be received from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day excluding weekends at the KCCA City Hall Gardens.
