Plant Operator II (Paint Shop) job at Kiira Motors Corporation

The Plant Operator II (Paint Shop) is responsible for painting vehicles to a high standard and ensuring that the paint job is completed efficiently and safely.
Key Functions:
Prepare vehicles for painting, mask off parts of the car that are not to be painted, mix and apply paint, select and mix the correct colour, and ensure that the finish is smooth and even.
Use appropriate tools for spraying, brushing, or rolling paint onto the body of the vehicle, and to the interior and exterior trim. The car painter must ensure that the paint matches existing colors and is applied in a neat and uniform manner.
Maintain a clean, uncluttered, and safe work environment observing and practicing high standards of health, safety and environment.
Lead, mentor, develop, coach, train and appraise subordinates and peers to help them be successful in their roles and to progress in their skills and abilities.
Develop and implement Monthly Work Plans necessary for executing the above duties and responsibilities and Performance Reports detailing all vehicle painting aspects of the company.
Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Minimum Academic Qualifications
Uganda Vocational Qualification Framework Level II in Automotive Painting or Related Field from a recognized Institution.
Minimum Experience
The applicant should have served a Vehicle Painter for at least Two (2) years.
Core Competencies
Ability to prepare a vehicle for painting.
Ability to spray accurately and competently.
Ability to mix and match different paint colours accurately.
Interpretation of Technical and Engineering Documentation
Knowledge of Paint Application Techniques

Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills
