This intermediate role is responsible for collaborating with the all-program stakeholders listening to them and the Partners in the alternative program model funded projects to understand and come up with an effective and viable way of how the program impact can be communicated across the board as well as developing mechanisms of how such models can be evaluated.
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ - like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks, and activities across the ministry.
Abides by all behavioural expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
Benchmark with other organizations and Compassion national offices like Rwanda and Ghana to lead efforts in developing and executing a comprehensive and functional neighbor – centric approach to storytelling in the non 1:2:1 UK Gift aid FCPs by among others enabling program participants tell their story their way. Collaborate with the UK supporter neighbor groups liaison and Compassion International product support team to explore and execute on going design and testing of the non 1:2:1 funding models with the ethos of test small, learn fast and dream big.
Develop and harmonize UK gift aid model collaboration with 1:2:1 FCPs on, among others, inter FCP child transfers, new registrations etc and collaboratively institute customized reporting mechanisms for the alternative funding model projects through; supporter visits, Compassion moments model, supporter gift processing, etc.
Spear – head collaboration efforts with external expertise in child communication to harness the voice of a child in the programming of non 1:2:1 UK Gift aid FCPs to have their voice speak into the design of the program and mobilize country monitoring and evaluation resources to inform how impact will be measured.
Provide regular feedback to the leadership team and other stakeholders on the adaptation of communication strategies for effective and feasible community engagement in areas of operation.
In collaboration with other Church facing teams, contribute to building the national stake holder’s capacity through needs identification whenever necessary.
Maintain good and effective relationships with the Partner, Project employees and other key stakeholders. Builds respect and trust with the church and community by living out Compassion ’s cultural behaviors in every interaction.
Collaborate with the umbrella partner, refugee, and government agencies to select project implementation areas.
Support the overall refugee assistance project, compile, and generate reports to measure program inputs, outputs, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders including the innovation Lab to provide direction, information and strategic guidance to the Partner’s Procurement committee and Business service providers of Compassion Int. Uganda in consultation with the Manager of Partnership to ensure timely requisitions and delivery of purchased goods/items.
Provide capacity building for partner project staff to ensure effective implementation of the project.
Work with the Manager of Partnership to Monitor and Evaluate the project.
Any other tasks assigned by the Manager of Partnership relevant to Emergency Relief Program for the displaced Participants.
Collaborate with the National office innovation lead and coordinate all innovation initiatives to manage the entire pipeline of innovation work in collaboration with Manager of Partnership and the Innovation Lab.

Education and experience
Bachelors Degree in Social Science and/or communication
At least 2 years proven experience in photojournalism and/or in humanitarian work
