Job Description
The Officer – Trade will support the internal processing and execution of trading opportunities for mineral products, including price tracking, market analysis, and customer engagement. The role involves participating in sales and purchase agreements, gathering supply and demand data, implementing marketing initiatives, and ensuring risk mitigation across trading operations. The candidate will also contribute to stakeholder coordination, report preparation, and ensure that business cases are effectively implemented in line with
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Participate in the initiation and internal processing of mineral trading opportunities aligned with approved business cases.
Monitor market and supply trends to support timely and strategic business decisions.
Track mineral product prices to inform effective negotiations with suppliers and customers.
Prepare weekly/monthly trading reports and secure internal approvals for customer transactions in line with Sales and Purchase Agreements.
Gather supply and demand data to inform sourcing, stocking, and trading strategies.
Support the implementation of marketing initiatives to enhance product visibility and value.
Implement risk mitigation measures in mineral trading activities.
Perform any other duties as assigned to support growth and company-wide initiatives.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in the public sector or reputable private institution.
Professional development training in relevant areas is an added advantage.
Training in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) principles is an added advantage.
Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for execution.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Good stakeholder management and coordination capabilities.
