Job Description
The Programme Officer will be responsible for the overall implementation of the RESOLVE NbS project in Morogoro and Iringa regions. This includes working closely with local government authorities, implementing partners, and community stakeholders. The officer will manage project activities, ensure integration of NRM strategies, provide technical assistance, and facilitate project reporting and financial management. Additionally, they will contribute to monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management, and fundraising activities. The role requires regular field visits and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate landscape-level implementation of NRM aspects of the RESOLVE NbS Project.
Provide technical assistance in developing and implementing NRM strategies and plans.
Build the capacity of stakeholders in sustainable management of natural resources.
Facilitate preparation of annual work plans and budgets.
Lead on project reporting, including technical and financial reports.
Promote the use of IUCN’s knowledge tools, such as the IUCN Global Standard for NbS and NRGF.
Monitor project activities and ensure timely financial expenditure and accountability.
Support fundraising and proposal development for scaling-up project activities.
Maintain good working relationships with MDAs, non-state actors, the private sector, and community organizations.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Post-graduate degree in environmental sciences, natural resources management, water resources management, development studies, or related fields.
Work Experience: At least five years of professional experience in natural resource management, project management, biodiversity restoration, or community development. Experience in the field-based implementation of biodiversity conservation projects and creating multi-stakeholder dialogues is essential.Core
