Job Description
The Occupational Health and Safety Supervisor oversees safety programs for RRM and contractors, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting training, investigating incidents, and promoting a culture of safety among employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibility Overview
Your job requirements include:
Staying updated on health, safety, and environmental regulations and ensuring compliance
Updating company policies based on changes in laws and regulations
Implementing OHSE policies, procedures, and protocols
Conducting regular audits, risk assessments, and evaluations
Delivering OHS training programs and organizing drills
Participating in investigations and submitting detailed incident reports
Collaborating with relevant departments to address safety concerns
Promoting a culture of safety and encouraging employees to report safety concerns
Maintaining accurate records of safety-related activities
Preparing reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.

Qualifications and Competencies
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC and or OSHA, or relevant certifications in HSE.
Proven experience in a similar role of not less than three (3) years, preferably in an industrial or Extractives.
Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and propose solutions.
Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
