Job Description
Job Title: Nursing Officer
Organization: Makerere University Kampala
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Participate in planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation of Nursing Services in the health unit/ward;
Provide support supervision in the provision of nursing care;
Prepare and implement nursing services day roaster;
Requisition and account for medical supplies and equipment;
Maintain a clean and healthy ward environment;
Compile and submit reports to the Principal Medical Officer;
Supervise and appraise staff;
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Midwifery;
Registered with Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council and holds a valid practicing license.
Experience
3 years’ relevant working experience

Coaching and mentoring;
Counseling and guidance;
Concern for quality and standards;
Ethics and integrity;
Time management
Age: Below 55 years
