The Uganda Episcopal Conference is the Assembly of the Catholic Hierarchy in Uganda, constituted with the approval of the Holy See, through which Bishops express their collegial responsibility through collective action, to assure the progress of the Church and coordination of its social and pastoral ministry. It is headed by a Chairman elected every four years. He is assisted by an Executive Board, also chosen every four years, composed of six Chairmen of various Commissions. The Episcopal Conference of Uganda was founded in 1960.
Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau (UCMB) is the health office of the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) in Uganda and the technical arm of the Health Commission of the Uganda Episcopal Conference (UEC), carrying out its day to day operations. The Uganda Episcopal Conference (UEC), the legal body of Catholic Bishops of Uganda with funding from Elma Foundation is Implementing the Maternal and Neonatal Health Project through 50 health facilities in Acholl region within Uganda.

Job Description
Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant (Fresher Jobs)
Organisation: Uganda Episcopal Conference (UEC)

Reports to: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will support data teams to generate and review generated data share data and disseminates data to the Project team and the entire health facility team. The role will also double as the chairperson Oland ensures that the initiated 01 projects are Implemented and monitored and data generated used for decision making

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in statistics. Public Health. Social Sciences, Demography, Reproductive Health, Behavioural Sciences or related field Additional post-graduate training in M&E would be an advantage
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in an M&E role responsible for implementing M&E activities especially in implementing maternal and newborn health programs
Considerable experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection methods
Experience working with district-level health systems and community-based health programs
Skills:
Strong understanding of Maternal and Neonatal reporting indicators.
Proven ability to coordinate complex programs. manage datasets. and deliver results within deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word. Excel. PowerPoint) and experience with data collection and analysis tools Such include Kobo Collect. etc
Language: Fluency in English is required, knowledge of Acholi or other local languages is an asset.
