Job Description
The MiBusiness Insurance Specialist is tasked with driving commercial insurance sales in the Western Cape, building and managing a strong client portfolio, and leading a high-performing team. This role requires strategic planning to meet sales targets, mentoring and recruiting team members, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The role involves consistent collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business growth and operational excellence.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Drive sales and distribution objectives within the assigned region
Recruit, develop, and manage a team of sales representatives
Ensure adherence to compliance regulations and quality standards
Mentor and coach team members
Analyze sales performance data and report to senior management
Enable team members to meet performance targets
Build insurance portfolios for clients and provide ongoing support
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Provide technical system and product support
Represent the company in a professional and organized manner

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
NQF 4/Matric/Standard 10
FAIS Credits/Full Insurance Qualifications (as per Dofa requirements)
Regulatory Exam (RE5)
NQF 5 or NQF 6 (advantageous)
Valid Code B driver’s license
Own vehicle required
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in the commercial insurance industry
Minimum 3 years in face-to-face business roles
Competencies:
Strong stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent administrative, analytical, and planning skills
Leadership and team management capabilities
Ability to perform under pressure
Solution-oriented and detail-focused
Strong presentation and reporting skills
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-driven
