Job Description
Job Title: Member Relations Specialist

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
We are seeking innovative, committed individuals who can work under minimum supervision in a fast past Environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Member Engagement & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with policyholders, providing proactive support and personalized service.
Serve as the primary point of contact for members, ensuring timely responses to inquiries, concerns, and requests.
Develop and implement member engagement strategies to foster trust, loyalty, and long-term relationships.
Policyholder Support & Issue Resolution
Provide expert guidance on insurance products, policy benefits, claims procedures, and coverage details.
Address and resolve member concerns efficiently, escalating complex issues when necessary.
Advocate for members by liaising with underwriting, claims, and customer service teams to ensure seamless issue resolution.
Onboarding & Retention Programs
Oversee the onboarding process for new policyholders, ensuring they understand their coverage and benefits.
Conduct periodic check-ins with members to assess satisfaction, identify service gaps, and provide proactive solutions.
Implement retention strategies to minimize policy cancellations and maximize long-term customer value.
Claims Assistance & Benefits Guidance
Assist members with claims submissions, guiding them through the process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Educate policyholders on their benefits, helping them maximize their coverage and make informed decisions.
Work closely with the claims department to track progress and update members on the status of their claims.
Data Management & Member Insights
Maintain accurate member records, ensuring all interactions, policy details, and service requests are properly documented.
Analyze member engagement data to identify trends, improve service offerings, and enhance member satisfaction.
Generate reports on policyholder retention, claim resolution efficiency, and overall customer experience metrics.
Event Coordination & Educational Outreach
Organize webinars, informational sessions, and in-person events to educate policyholders about policy updates, benefits, and industry changes.
Foster community engagement through member-exclusive programs, networking events, and loyalty initiatives.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A degree in any business-related field and willingness to learn on the Job
Degree or diploma in insurance will be an added advantage
A certificate insurance from the Insurance Training College of Uganda.
The applicant must hold either partial / full professional marketing qualifications i.e. CIM, etc
At least three years of related work experience
