Job Title:  Marketing & Sales Executive

Organization: The Lawns Restaurant

Duty Station:  Kampala, Uganda

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Marketing & Sales Executive to promote our restaurant, increase brand visibility, and drive sales. This role will focus on attracting new customers, building brand loyalty, and coordinating marketing campaigns to maximize sales growth.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  1. Marketing Strategy and Campaigns

    • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase foot traffic and enhance brand awareness.

    • Coordinate promotional campaigns, including seasonal offers, events, and special menus.

    • Create and manage digital marketing content for social media, email, and website channels.

  2. Sales and Revenue Growth

    • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to attract corporate clients, events, and group bookings.

    • Build relationships with local businesses, hotels, and event organizers to increase catering and delivery orders.

    • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  3. Customer Engagement

    • Engage with customers through social media platforms to maintain a strong online presence.

    • Manage customer loyalty programs and solicit feedback to improve service and offerings.

    • Plan and organize special events to attract new customers and retain existing ones, such as tasting events or themed nights.

  4. Market Research and Reporting

    • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and customer preferences.

    • Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, preparing reports for management.

    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends to propose innovative ideas for continuous improvement.

  5. Brand Representation

    • Act as an ambassador for the restaurant at events, ensuring the brand is represented positively.

    • Maintain and enhance the restaurant’s reputation through professional and friendly customer interactions.

    • Collaborate with influencers and other brand partners to expand reach.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred).

  • Experience:

    • Prior experience in marketing or sales, preferably in the food and beverage or hospitality industry.

    • Strong knowledge of digital marketing and social media management.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

    • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and marketing analytics.

    • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.

    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, when required.


  • Any graduates with three years experience in sales of service products.
